Groups make Accord information available INFORMATION ABOUT the proposed package of constitutional reforms con- tained in the Charlottetown Accord will be presented in various venues on the North Shore this weekend and next week: Friday, Oct. 16: @ The Multicultural Women’s Society of West Vancouver will sponsor an information session on the proposed Charlottetown Ac- cord tonight from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the main gymnasium of the West Vancouver Recreation Centre, 780-22nd St. The event will feature speakers ‘who are both for and against the deal. The speeches will be follow- ed by discussions on the topic in English, French, Chinese, Farsi, German, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. @ The North Vancouver federal Liberal riding association will sponsor a forum on the Chariot- tetown Accord tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Centennial Theatre, 2300 Lonsdale Ave., North Van- couver, The forum is free to the public and will include questions from the audience. Featured in the forum will be B.C. Liberal leader Gordon Wilson, constitutional expert pro- fessor Ed McWhinney, former North Vancouver District. mayor Marilyn Baker, lawyer Jane Shackell and North Vancouver Liberal Senator Ray Perrault. Saturda:, Oct. 17: @ Federal Constitutional Affairs Minister Joe Clark will spend Saturday morning walking around West Vancouver and meeting with the public. Clark is scheduled to begin his CONSTITUTIONAL QUESTION tour in Dundarave and will walk along the seawall to Ambleside.
