Harassed woman awarded more cash

A NORTH Shore single mother
who was sexually harassed by her
employer has received an addi-
tional $1,000 in compensation.

In July 1988, Jennifer Anthony,
a former employee of North Shore
Vac Shop, was awarded $1,250 by
the B.C. Council of Human
Rights, after a hearing into her
charges that Walter Wolfe, owner
of the shop, spanked her behind,
tried to kiss her, and often pressed
closer to her than was comfor-
table.

The extra $1,000 was for wages
lost by Anthony between the time
of being fired by Wolfe — eight
days after he hired her in October
1985 — and getting regular
