TELEPHONE ACCOUNT Betting (TAB) has been
extended for at least one more year at Vancouver's
Exhibition Park Thoroughbred Race Track.

B.C. Jockey Club, operators of The Track, wil!
continue TAB without a proposed account service
charge and will install a toll-free 800 line (1-800-6u3-
3738) for out-of-town callers.

“There was a tremendous response to our letter
proposing a 25 cents per racing day account service

charge,’’ said general manager Merv Peters.

‘Many appreciated that i1 was a small price to pay
for the convenience — it equates to $1.25 on a five-
day week or $1 on a four-day week, or less than bus
fare for one day.”’

formation can be obtained Monday through Friday, 9
a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the B.C. Jockey Club, Exhibiti-
