North Shore Neighbourhood House has a program called Golden Circle which meets twice a week at the Housc, where elderly and frail seniors can get together to fearn about people from other cultures and to talk about healch and wellness. The Senior ens’ Special Services Society is a group of seniors helping other seniors with phone calls or driving to medical or business appoint- ments, For more intornta- tion, call 925-7281. There is alse the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre on 21st Street at Marine Drive. While this centre is well known for their excellent food service and activities for all seniors, they also have several special programs for the less active. One is called Meet and Munch, which involves bringing frail seniors to the centre to socialize and share a snack or lunch, Also, a new program called Indoor Strollers takes piace on Tuesday mornings at Park Royal's south mall. People can be picked up at home, and a volunteer will wax with you at a pace that is best for you. For more information about these activities, call Sheila Landrigan at 925- 7280.
