his sports heroes, as he and B.C.
Lion’s newest player Matt Dun-
nigan team up in the fourth annual
Big Brothers, Sheraton Landmark
Celebrity Egg Drop Competition
on Monday, Sept. 26 at noon at
The Sheraton Landmark Hotel on
Robson Street.

Travis has come up with an in-
genious design which should
enable a raw egg dropped from the
20th floor of the Sheraton Land-
mark Hotel to land unbroken on
the roof of the parkade 15 stories
below. Who ever gets closest to the
target — a fried egg — wins a
brand new Kuwahara mountain

bike. donated by Kuwahara Cy-
cles.

Travis has designed the
tion which Matt must make,
demonstrating the cooperation be-
tween a young boy and a man. The
whole purpose of the event is to
recruit. more men to be Big
Brothers.

Boys like Travis, who come
from an environment where they
have no consistent adult male in-
fluence, would benefit by having a
man spend a few hours each week
with them doing activities they
both enjoy, such as going to the
movies, kicking a football,
washing the car or just spending
some time together.

Men who have been Big
Brothers say it is not only fun but
also extremely rewarding, Men

the Egg Drop on Monday, Sept. 26
at noon and cheer on celebrities.

ROAD CLOSURES -
HIGHWAY 99

SEA TO SKY HIGHWAY
_ PORTEAU BLUFFS AREA

The Ministry of Transportation & Highways will be undertak-
ing a rock scaling project in the Porteau Bluffs area on No.
99 Sea to Sky Highway for the period September 26, 1988,
to October 31, 1988. The work will necessitate continuing
twenty-minute closures during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30

pm.

In addition, there will be one-hour closures for blasting from
9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. October 3, October 5, and October
6. Traffic will be allowed to clear between closures.

The Ministry regrets the inconvenience to the public but the
work is necessary as part of our ongoing programme to pro-

vide safer travelling conditions.
