SHORE PLAYER Pratt picks up bowling victory NORTH SHORE 10-pin bowler Kelly Pratt was the high qualifier in the Ladies Western Bowlers Associa- tion handicap division when she bowled a five-game points total of 1,035, including handicap, at the March 22 tournament. + Pratt continued into the match play finals and roll- ed a two-game total of 413 including handicap to edge out Jan Crock, who finished with 407 points. Crock was high qualifier in the scratch division with a 954 total for five games. Pratt won $460 for her first-place finish while Crock won second-place money of $280. In the Lions Gate Ladies Trio League, the Sedola team had a big four-game scratch teatn total of 2,302. Captain Dot Sedola bowled a 774 four-game total, while teammates Heather Harding and Flo Lee bowl- ed 765 and 763 respectively. The opposing Esary team provided some stiff com- petition when its members bowled a team total of 2,221 for four games. Joan Esary had a 730 four- game series, Joan Jesson, a 709 and anchor. Tracy Noble bowled a 233 game and a 782 total. Ed Cygan was outstanding in the Avalon Hotel B.C. All Star League when he bowled a three-game TENNIS WHIZ KID Jeyaseelan NORTH VANCOUVER’S 10- year-old tennis whiz Sonya Jeyaseelan stunned top-seeded the final set while leading 5-4 in games and 40-15 in points. Andrea Arscott had a single game of 154 and Paul Byrom had a 145 game. Bowler of the week for the junior division was Paul van Horne who bowled 23 pins over his single game average. In the senior division Tony Grosso bowled a 189 single game and Kevin Penn had a 202 game. Ron Parker bowled a 547 series with games of 151, 218 and 178.
