Anyone interested in joining the program is encouraged to attend the meeting, beginning at 7:30 p.m., at the local YMCA at 1735 Inglewood Avenuc in West Van- couver. The Y-Indian program is for fa- thers and sons or fathers and daughters, who participate together as ‘‘tribe members.”’ A tribe consists of five to eight Phones busy at NORTH SHORE Information and Volunteer Centre answered 5,479 information inquiries last year. There is a Y- Trailmate program, which is of- fered for children from grade four to six. Tribes hold meetings twice a month, and are involved in recre- ational and outdoor activities. Tribes also participate in Nation volunteer centre referred to positions in the com- munity numbered 558 and 523 people attended financial and legal lectures. If the commission grants this rate increase (10.2%) as requested by Shaw, it will be in excess of the CPI (Consumer Price In- dex) ending April 30, 1936 of 3.9% This excessive and inflationary in- crease must not go unchallenged.
