CONTEST OFFERS BIG PRIZES

Calling all songwriters

of ARIA.
As well, one or more people from almost every

radio station in Calgary have participated in the local
rounds of judging. :

THE CANADIAN Songwriting Contest is now enter-
ing its- third year of competition, and encourages
aspiring songwriters to submit entries before Dec. 31.

A total of $12,000 in cash prizes will be awarded,
with the grand prize set at $5,000.

The contest has been fortunate enough to land such
distinguished judges in past years as Michael Godin of
A&M Records, Sandy Power of CBS Records, Brian
Allen of Attic Records, and Rhoda Taylor, president
