THE FOLLOWING people appeared in North and West Vancouver provincial court- houses over the past week to face various criminal charges laid against them. Before Judge J.B. Paradis in West Vancouver provincial court, July 28, 1986: A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Bryan Ander- son after he failed to appear for a scheduled court date on a charge of impaired driving. Pierre Morache was fined $350 after being convicted on a charge of theft under $1,000. Before Judge J.D. Laytoa in North Vancouver provincial court, July 29, 1986: A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Bruce James Grant, 27, alter the North Van- couver man failed to appear for his scheduled court date. He was 10 appeur to face one count of assault causing bodily harm in connection with a June 17, 1985 incident that is alleged to have involved a female. Before Judge J.B. Paradis in West Vancouver provincial court, July 29, 1986: Philip Brian Hutchinson was given a three-month jail sentence on a charge of failure to comply and a_ one-day sentence after being convicted of assault. Before Judge J.B. Paradis in North Vancouver provincial court Aug. 13, 1986: A Vancouver woman was fined $1,000 after pteading guil- ty to two counts of illegal use of a credit card. Twenty-year-old Adel Vadas was charged March 18. Before Judge P.L. Maughan in North Vancouver provincial court, Aug. 15, 1986: John Black, 21, was fined $35 after pleading guilty to one count of failure to appear for a scheduled court date. The Co- quitlam man was charged after he failed to appear for a July 25 court date. A $50 fine was handed North Vancouver resident Christopher Paull after the 23-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing a pair of blue jeans from Sears Canada. William Robitaille, 19, was fined $500 after he pleaded guilty to charges of taking a vehicle and failure to report damage done to another vehi- cle. The North Vancouver man was charged in connection with incidents that occurred between July 17 and 20. Paul Cook, 25, was fined $335 after the North Vancouver man pleaded guilty to two Motor Vehicle Act infractions. Charges were laid against Cook in connection with a July 9 in- cident in which he drove without insurance in a vehicle with excessively worn tires. A charge of driving without a licence laid against Cook was stayed. A $150 fine was handed to Walter Magee after the 45- year-old North Vancouver man pleaded guilty to one count of assault and one count of mischief in connection with an April 14 incident in which he assaulted another male and damaged a car door.
