EDUCATION experinnce for

children’s activities in Upper
Lonsdale daycare centre. (Other
locations also). Hours can be
arranged to suit volunteer, who
should be aged 14 and up.
MAKE A SENIOR'S SUM-
MER by starting as a weekly
visitor in a care facility. Activi-
tes: could include writing tet-
ters; doing fingernails, or help-
ing with feeding. 16 years and
over.

PROVIDE A ROLE MODEL
and friendship for pleasant 14
year-old girl who likes reading
aud outings. This girl, who bas
some neurological and fearning
probiems, needs help. in
developing social skills,

Gardeners compete

SEVEN municipalities including
North Vancouver city and district,
are participating in a floral/garden
competition to celebrate and pro-
mote Expo.

The event is sponsored by the
Greater Vancouver Regional
District.

Other municipalities entered in
the competition are Delta, Rich-
inond, New Westminster, Port
Nioody and Port Coquitlam

Trophies will be awarded in two
categories, the best display from
the viewpoint of pedestrians and

Gardens and Don Fraser, repre-
senting the B.C. Nursery Trades
Association.
