AN antiques store clerk
had her wrists and
ankles tied with duct
tape on Monday dur-
ing a rotbery in Lower
Lonsdale.

The robber, wearing a
black ski mask, also duct-
taped the woman's mouth
shut, according to the North
Vancouver RCMP.

The robbery took place at
Urban Settler Antiques, 67
Lonsdale Ave.

Before confining the clerk,
the robber told her to put
money from the til in a black
garbage bag. The clerk did
Not sce a Weapon,

Police say the robber
pushed the clerk into a back
room and bound her with the
duct tape. The robber was
polite and apologized tor
using the tape.

The robber was desenbed
as being Caucasian, 5°10”
(1.78m) with a thin build. He
brought the duct tape and
plastic bag with him.

The robber took off with
the store’s “float” money
during the 5:30 p.m. inci-
dent. Police did not disclose
how much cash was taken.
