WEST VANCOUVER Police Const. Marv Pelkey and his police service dog Ferro helped assist the
North Vancouver RCMP in tracking down a suspect who robbed the SuperValu store in
Edgemont Village Friday afternoon. The suspect is described as being a white male, about 30
years old, 5'11"° tatl, weighing 180 pounds with brown collar-length hair, wearing prescription-
tinted sunglasses, blue jeans and a biue jean jacket with a brown cord collar. An RCMP
spokesman said the suspect had been walking around in the store for about 30 minutes prior to
the robbery. He then entered a cashier's line-up, waited patiently and then asked the female ca-
shier for a package of Craven A cigarettes. After he paid her for the cigarettes he opened his
jacket and showed the cashier a shoulder holster and said: ‘‘Give me all of your 20s, | have a
gun.*’ The suspect was given $400 in cash and fled on toot. Police are still looking tor the man.
