There are many cases of neighbors and the neighbors should say so! P assure you that it would not be tolerated in the U.S., nor would any so-called obliga- tions of Canada be accepted in the US. It’s time Canadians minded their own business and left the U.S. to DIFFERENCE MORE THAN GEOGRAPHIC Dear Editor: Visitors from across the waters can be forgiven when they fail to distinguish betweea Dollarton and Deep Cove. But it becomes inexcusable wheo our local mewspaper makes the same mistake when it misplaces Cates Park — site of King Neptune's Dollarton and Deep Cove are separate communities with dif- ferent histories. In the beginaing the Cove was a summer cottage retreat while Dollacton was the site of busy sawmilling activity generated by a company owned by Robert Dollar. The original company houses (I five in one of them) today constitute the heart of Dollarton. ‘Dollarton is not D. Cove The difference, now as then, is more than peographic. Residents of Deep Cove tend to be leisure- loving and self-indulgent while those of us on the right side of (he tracks (more accurately Mount Seymour Parkway) are hard-working pillars of respect- ability. The laws and the sheriffs most certainly need an overhaul because obviously the U.S. officials and the neighbors have no right to interfere time and again with a family in an effort to settle down and live peacefully. mind theirs, in their own country!
