Sunday openings were to end October, but will now continue indefinitely eccording to the district's deputy director of engineering Harry McBride. “When the transfer station opened initially, we had people lin- ing up to get in. The demand is stil there and so far Sunday open- ings have proven themselves,’’ said McBride. Located at 30 Riverside Drive, just south of the Dollarton High- way, the transfer station is open to the public Monday through Satur- day 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. The first 560 kilogram drop-off of residential waste is free. Anything over 500 kilograms is assessed at the commercial rate of $27.16 per 1,000 kilograms.
