Blues clinch

THE CAPILANO Blues
soccer team clinched first
place in the Totem College
Athletic Association Satur-
day with a 10-1 obliteration
of Victoria’s Royal Roads
Military College.

The game, played in Vic-
toria, was never in doubt as
the Blues scored in the first
minute of action and rolled
up a 6-0 lead in the first
half,

Capilano’s total with singles.
Wayne McIntosh and
Todd Milkie shared
goalkeeping duties.

Royal Roads spoiled the
Blues’ shutout when they
converted a second half
penalty kick.

The win left the Blues
alone at the top of the
Totem conference with 16
points from eight wins and

ace

one loss.

The North Shore squad
will travel to Nanaimo
November 2 to play fourth
place BCIT in the league’s
semi-finals. In the other
semi-final contest,
Malaspina will play Cariboo
College.

The winners of Saturday’s
action will play on Sunday
to decide the overall 1985
Totem season champion.
