Daphne, who refers to

Centre, which is affiliated
with The Children’s
Museum. There she found
masses of barrels over-
flowing with odds and ends,
shoe-tongues, Leggo, pack-
ing forms and more, all
donated by Boston manufac-
turers. She decided to apply
the same premise to North
Vancouver and opened the
market.

So, how does it work? You
buy a bag in one of three sizes
and then browse to your
heart's content through bar-
rels, baskets and boxes otf
remnants. These scraps can
be created into Outrageous
Easter bonnets, costumes,
masks and posters - it’s up to
the individual imagination as
to what one comes up with

The market relies on
manutfacturer’s waste and by-
products for its materials
Although the products are
mainly paper and cardboard,
vou will also. find wood
scraps, fabric, leather and
vinyl, just io name a few, all
which would have normally
been thrown away.
