years, Cinema 16 of U.B.C.
will be offering a Summer

Series of four film
presentations on four
comsecutive Thursday

evenings in late July and
early August.

The series will open on
July 24 with the Canadian
premiere of John Huston's
latest film, ‘Wise Blood’,
starring Brad Dourif, who
won critical acclaim for his
performance as the stut-
tering schizophrenic Billy
Babbit in ‘One Flew Over the
Cuckoo's Nest’. ‘Wise

Vancouver's leading  per-

formers will share the ex-
perience and talent of its
members by offering an
ongoing series of theatre
classes to the community.
ACT, the first program of
classes, takes place in
August and features as
instructors well known
theatre professionals from
the Westcoast company.

On July 31, Cinema 16 will
be presenting the Ingmar
Bergman classic ‘Persona’,
with Liv Ullman and Bibi
Andersson in the title roles.
Bergman won several major
film awards for his brilliant
psychological portrayal of
two women engaged in a
desperate duel of identities.

Micki Maunsell; and a
leading set designer will
introduce you to the three
major areas of theatre
production.
