“There were cop cars

everywhere and a few people _

standing around watching,”
he said.

“They (the RCMP) had
one guy standing beside a
police car,” Smith.said, and

“one cop was sitting in the
parking lot on one of the
curbs with a girl'sitting with
her hands behind her | back
— she was handcuffed.”

After taking a picture
from a distance, Smith said
he put a wide angle lens on
his camera and walked over
to where the police officer
had the girl.

He said he was standing 15
feet in front of the two and
had taken one picture; “then
I heard all this yelling from
behind me and then they

came on me and ripped the |

camera out of my hands.”
