Study your home’s exterior features, as well as literature to discover the variety of color that appeals to you as you create the perfect exterior master- piece for your own home.” Richardson recommends coordinating the color of out- door flowers ard shrubs with the color of the home, thus creating .a- complete thoughful color concept _ Which swill enhance your home’s, overall appearance. Select a color scheme which blends and enhances these colors, and study combinations to see Which colors and groups of colors will best show off these natural textures. The style, size, site and shape of the home should be consid- ered as well. “Don't forget your neigh- bors’ homes,” adds Richardson. “Their colors should be considered before selecting your color scheme... blends with the trees which surround it... light to medium should be used next to dark colors ... warm colors next to cool tones.” ; If your home is very large and you want to create a sophisticated color scheme that blends with the: trees which surround it, consider colors that are medium to dark tones.
