No rain relief
for riders yet

WET KIDS at bus stops will
have to wait a little longer for
rain shelter West Vancouver
District council decided
Monday

And it's not due to West
Vancouver distiking children,
but simply because other bus
shelter priorities exist in the
community

West Van's response
tollows a request from Chart
well Parents Associanion tor
covered bus shelters for thetr
children.

As well. West Vancouver
School Board asked the
municipahty for bus shelters

too at Sunset and = Pasco
Road. This plea was also re-
yected because of other
priorities and the costs
involved

Council did agree,
however, to consider possible
provision of bus shelters once
high priorty areas such as
Marine and 17th Avenue get
shelters.

In addition, council re-
quested further staff studies
into the possibility of getting
a number of commercial bus
shelters trom Seaboard
Advertising Ltd. to fill the
rising need in West Van
