FUNDRAISING

MATTHEW LI, manager of Yic’s restaurant, recently
received a plaque in appreciation for the restaurant's help
to the fundraising efforts of the firefighters of North Van
District. Members of local 1183 District of North Van
Firefighters were getting together to plan this year’s
salmon derby. Last year they sent a $3250 cheque to the
Vancouver General Hospital Burn Unit from the derby
proceeds.
