Rotting porch or deck
pillars

If 4°x 4” or 6” x6" posts are
placed directly on concrete
or concrete blocks they will
inevitabley rot after a few
years at the point of contact.
This, then costs a time con-
suming repair job to correct
the sagging porch roof or
deck.

To prevent this always put a
small block of aluminum or
plated steel ancherage top
and bottom with a brass
screw between the concrete
