B2- Wednesday, April 21, 1982 . North Shore News CE Sport Trev goes to the final ENDING last season in fifth place, Pegasus went on to win the cup final defeating Trev Jones Excavating and tnen the Firemen in _ the semis. But they weren't so lucky this year. They managed an upset against third place Lynn- wood Hotel by a decisive 2-0 win to earn the chance to defend their atle as playoff champs. That same week saw Rive Brothers Land- scaping edged out by Trev Jones 2-1 to pit them once again, against their rivals Pegasus, in one of the two semi-finals played last Sunday. A very defensive first half offered little op- portunity for either side to open the scoring. The game was nearing overtime whena Pegasus defender handled an attempted clear inside the penalty area and Gary Krogfoss made no mistake off the dot to give his Trev Jones teammates the 2-1 VICLOry over the disap- pointed club. Other playoff action left second place North Shore News shghtly dejected after Goofy’s Place squeezed them out of a 3-2 victory by- winning a keepers’ battle in an after-overtime shoot-out. Tecum Teak (now “Scandicraft”) shut out SCD Warehouse 2-0, puttng the league's top team up against Goofy's in Sunday's other semi-final match-up. Two goals by Murray Hutchinson were more then enough needed for Tecum to move into. this Sunday’s final against the determined Trev Jones Excavating.
