“His actions were rather

strange,” Turek said.

During meets in 1994,
Turek set Canadian records
for women 60-65 years old
in discus (25.01 metres),
shot put (9.07 m) and javelin
(20.46 m). She has success-
fully rebounded from a hip

her javelin.

- “It’s like my right arm,”
