MBI opened the 1998 campaign at the Seymour-arca diamond last Wednesday. “It’s been a long time coming get- ting the team in a stable area,” NBI director Howard Hobbs said of secur- ing Parkgate South field for the high- calibre baseball program. In the past the Institute had used the Stetson Bow! in Surrey, bur according to Hobbs, the politically-charged facility is unavailable to the NBI this season. Hobbs, whe is also president of the Mount Seymour Baseball Association, said that Parkyate South field will be used by the NBI Blues this season (April-May), but beyond that nothing itten in stone. “The demands on the field (Parkgate) are pretry large so we'll see how it goes this vear,” he said.
