26 - Sunday, September 15, 1985 - North Shore News Entertainment _ Blues guitarist returns to heat up music scene THE PACIFIC Jazz and Blues festival will present the return of blues guitarist Albert Collins to Vancouver on September 27 and 28 at the Town Pump in Gastown. They call him ‘‘The Icepicker,’’ “‘The Master of the Telecaster,”” ‘The Razor Blade’ and ‘“‘The Houston Twister.’" Whatever the label, both fans and critics alike say he is the fiercest guitarist alive, a slim and ominous-looking musician who rivets audiences around the world with cnslaughts of stinging blues notes. Collins’ live performances are legendary. He plays over 200 nights a year, perform- ing everywhere from’ Deep South dance halls to plush metropolitan showcase Pratt exhibit set for VAG A MAJOR exhibition of paintings, watercolors, drawings and prints by Christopher ‘Pratt opens November 23. Pratt’s show runs for eight weeks starting November 23 at the Vancouver Art Gallery before travelling te Toronto, St. John’s and Halifax. Pratt is considered a leading Canadian contem- porary artist.
