47.2 per cent of those poled
said yes and 47.2 per cent
said no,

Those figures show strong
support for the West Van-
couver shopping centre,
support that wasn’t evident
during a referendum in last
November’s municipal elec-

tion when a Sunday opening
bylaw was defeated.

Because of that defeat
Park Royal is the only
shopping centre on the
North Shore — and one of
the few in the Lower
Mainland — that isn't able
to take advantage of Sunday
openings.
