Where there's a will...

Did you know that seven out of 10 Canadian
men die without leaving a will?

It’s true.

Maybe they're confused
about how to go about
drawing one up, or they're
scared of lawyers, or maybe
they've actually founda way
of taking it with them and we
don't know about it.

Whatever their reason,
lawyer Tom Plant thinks
they're making a mistake.

Tom says a will is simply a
legal document that
describes how you want your
possessions distributed when
you die. Wills come in many
forms and Tom described a
few of them, like the fill-in-
the-blanks kind you can buy
from most stationery stores.
He doesn't recommend
them, mainly because no-
one is sure how they'll be
viewed by the courts.
