widowers act like nervous
teenagers, before long the duelling
courtship begins.

Yes, the piot verges on being
hackneyed, but with two seasoned
pros like Matthau and Lemmon,

you're guaranteed some laughs.

This certainly isn’t up there with
The Odd Couple or The Fortune
Cookie, but there is a hilarious
scene where Matthau altacks -
Lemmon with a frozen carp. .

However, subplots about an [RS
audit and a tentative love affair be-
tween the men’s offspring (Daryl
Hannah, Kevin Pollak) just divert
interest from the two leads:
