The Blues dumped Tacoma Community College 5-1 in semi- final action, as John Arrano paced Cap with two markers. Matthew Bartholomew, Jason Elligott and David Morris also scored for the Blues, In the tightly played final, Cap edged UPS, the host scheol, 1-nil. Matt Mon scored the gatne’s only goal. “The team is mich stronger this year than last,” enthused coach Sajbo Talic. “I think we have a good chance at winning the league this year.” The Blues open the regular season tomorrow in Langley. NO doubt about i it, the Cap College women’s soccer team is playing like the defending national champ it is. Last weekend, the team won four straight games en route to the tournament title at the pre-season University College of the Fraser Valley tourney. The Blues outscored their opponents 20-0. Melissa Artuso was named tournament MVP, whiic teammates Diana Artuso and Vanessa Hayes were named tournament all-stars.
