Blues win tournament

THE Capilano College men’s soccer team won its second pre-
season tournament in as many weeks as the boys in blue captured
the UPS Invitational in Tacoma, Washington on Sept. 8.

The Blues dumped Tacoma Community College 5-1 in semi-
final action, as John Arrano paced Cap with two markers.
Matthew Bartholomew, Jason Elligott and David Morris also
scored for the Blues, In the tightly played final, Cap edged UPS,
the host scheol, 1-nil. Matt Mon scored the gatne’s only goal.

“The team is mich stronger this year than last,” enthused
coach Sajbo Talic. “I think we have a good chance at winning
the league this year.”

The Blues open the regular season tomorrow in Langley.
