District. of North Vancouver Fire Services wants you to under- stand that these types of fires are not real. ' They are made to allow the viewer to be able to see the faces of the actors and actresses and what is going on in the scene. They. also provide the actors with a moderately heated, non- toxic, and safe environment. Usually, natural gas or propane lines are strategically placed behind props to produce a clean flame with very little, if any, smoke. Please understand that a fire in a house is not as sterile as ‘the moviemakers lead you to believe. in actual fact, most fires in Desert plants show, sale set for VanDusen ON SATURDAY and Sunday, June 5 and 6, the Desert Plant Society wili nold its cactus and succulent plant show and sale at VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver. Hundreds of cacti and = suc- culents will be on display, many of which are rare and unusual.
