Favorite food: pasta. News columnist dies FORMER North Shore News columnist Brian Swarbrick died suddenly Ju- ly 13 after suffering a massive heart attack in Vernon, B.C. He was 62. Mr. Swarbrick contributed col- umns to the North Shore News from April 1991 to October 1991, In October 199! he was ap- pointed B.C. Report Magazine's Okanagan bureau chief. Mr. Swarbrick began his news- paper career in 1945 as a 15- year-old copy boy with the Globe and Mail newspaper. During his career, he worked as an investigative reporter, colum- nist, senior editor, publisher, drama critic, ghost writer and feature writer. His byline appeared in such Publications as the Globe and New carpets of the highest uality.
