Not by a long shot. She’s smart, drop-dead gorgeous with a sparkling laugh that almost makes Larry forget to eat one of his prominently displayed Dunkin’ Donuts. . Despite his crude propositions, she is intrigued. After all, he’s pretty funny, energetic, romantic and incredibly wealthy. Too bad he’s trying to put her family out of business. . So what’s funny about Other People’s Money? Not much. De Vito’s performance is terrific, but the film has a major flaw. As comforting as jingling coins are, there’s something intensely dull about money talk, Dialogue about takeovers, stock markets, share- holder meetings just don’t make for crackling drama.
