Waidorf school holds auction THE VANCOUVER Waldorf School is holding its Fifth Annual Auction starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at the Gleneagles Golf Club in West Vancouver. This year’s theme “GST-Giving and Sharing Talents’ will see parents and the community pool- ins ‘ogether to raise funds for the new school building fund. 9 Part of the proceeds raised from the auction will also be given to the Turtle Valley Village Community Project of the fta Wegman Association for people with special needs. Highlights of the auction in- clude Treasa O'Driscoll, an inter- nationally acclaimed Celtic artist who, through her oral presenta- tion of stories and songs, fosters a true heart to heart relationship be- tween speaker and audience, cellist and composer Catherine Carmack, and dancing to the music of Sea- wind. Meeting features video THE NORTH Shore Friends of Schizophrenics will hold their an- aual general meeting at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 at the Medical Day Centre of Lions Gate Hospital. A new video entitled “One In A Hundred” will be shown during the meeting. “It is relevant for people newly diagnosed and as a reminder document for those who are not strangers to the prob- lems of the disease,’* says Sylvia Rehwald of NSFOS. Following the video pres- entation, the brief business meeting will review the aciivities of the NSFOS over the past year and elect an executive for the coming year.
