Starting the year with a win were the Novice C Cougars (8-9 year olds), posting & 9-7 score over Surrey. Leading the scoring for the Cougers was Amanda Snow with six goals. The Cougars next registered a 13-2 thumping of Aldergrove with Kate Longpre netting three goals for the victors. The Petite C Tigers (10-11 year olds} continued the winning streak, defeating Surrey 9-2 in their season opener. The Tween B Eagles (12-13 ycar olds) were defeated 18-9 by Poco despite the efforts of netminder Ecin Dempsey. Kirsten Bowling was the top scorer for the Eagles popping six goals and setting up three more while Georgia Morrison netted her ficst goal. Playing with only eight players, the Junior B Jets (14-15 year olds) were outplayed by a strong Delta team, making 2 13-1 deci- sion with Kristee Watson picking up the tone goal for the Jets.
