Wage scales will have to be adjusted. There is too big a spread between the minimum wage and union scale. The minimum wage has tc be raised to $5 an hour as an incentive for people to get off of welfare. Those earning the minimum wage can barely get by never back into the economy. I can’t understand people getting union wages and striking for more when they must know how people are living on the minimuin wage. Greed is SUES ASRS NE PAP SE CN AE an awful thing. The answer is to raise the minimum wage, not welfare. Businesses paying the minimum will object to this suggestion but all they have to do is raise their prices to cover the added expense. This will not affect anyone paying better than min- imum so this should not affect their prices. A close watch should be kept on this category to prevent them from taking advantage of the situation.
