Computer composing
instills love of music

posing by computer program
for personal reasons and re-
alized the benefits in
teaching the talent to others.

ty. E did it to get out of a
compositional rut to help me
as a composer, using new
and different notes. It
wasn’t my original motive 1o
use it as a teaching device.”

MUSIC CLASSES in North
Vancouver schools are open
to the public to celebrate
Music in Our Schools
month.

The idea of the program is
to let the public see the stu-
dents at work, creating, per-
forming or studying music.

Music will be performed
March 28: Handsworth
Junior Jazz Ensemble, 9:30
to 10:30 a.m.; Sherwood
Park grades four and five
Classroom Music, 9:45 to
10:20 a.m.; Argyle Senior
Vocal Ensemble, 10:10 to
11:10 a.m.; Sherwood Park

Fairholm says most
