volunteers and community
groups to help us with ac-
tiviues. We are grateful for
people who can help with
entertainment, but we also
need people to push wheel-
chairs on outings.’ Visits

from children’s groups are
favorites, Hawkes added.

Staff of Evergreen House
recognize the need to keep
residents alert as long as
possible through stimulation
programs such as
reminiscence and awareness
groups, to keep people active
within the limitations of their
medical conditions, to keep
them in touch with the out-
side world, and to treat them
with respect.
