North Vancouver District is
already experiencing un-
precedented problems of
vandalism fires. -

Even before the strike, the
District Fire ‘Department
was becoming increasingly
concerned about the
regularity with which
Smithrite-type
containers were
torched.

fires and im some cases
would find two containers
blazing at the same spot.

Now, with more and more
people using such containers
to cope with the problem of
no municipal coilections,
there is the potential for the
situation to become. even
worse.

And with the likelihood of
residents all over the District
