Silent killer lurks in auto exhaust

On an extremely coid
morning a few years ago. an
Alberta man started the
engine of his car and left it to
warm in the garage while he
finished his morning
grooming.

Within an hour he his
wife and two sons were
dead.

Carbon monoxide was the
killer. With the garage door
closed and ail the house
windows shut. deadly fumes

a $5 million diamond-
studded wristwatch that gets
more precious by the hour.

The one-of-a-kind
timepiece, placed on display
Tuesday, is said to be the
most expensive watch ever

made.

There are 118 flawless
daimonds, a total of 130
carats, embedded row upon
row m a 7-inch lattice-like
band of gold. Total weight:
nine ounces.

The timepiece is one of
the thinnest ever made —
1.64 mulimeters — and
capped by a crystal face
inscribed with the profiles of
a man and a woman.

The only thing standard
about the watch is the
guarantee — the usual one
