Lonsdale Business Association held
its founding meeting last Wednes-
day at 80s Restzurant at Lonsdale
Avenue and {4th Street in North
Vancouver City,

About 20 business owners and
managers attended the meeting.

The new association was formed
to stimulate business and generate
business ideas for the Lonsdale
area,

The next dinner mecting wilf be
held at the restaurant on Wednes-
day, Oct. 13, at 6:30 p.m.

The election of directers will be
held at the meeting.

Anyone doing business in the
Lonsdale area is welcome to join

Lid. of North Vancouver will
commission its two newest
tugboats in a ceremony on ‘Tues-
day, Sept. 14,

The Seuspan Hawk and the
Seaspan Falcon will enter ship-
docking service in Vancouver
Harbor in September.

Stationed in North Vancouver,
and built by Vancouver Shipyards
Co, Lid., which is also owned by
Seaspan, the two powerful tractor
tugs will be operating seven days a
week, 24 hours a day.

They will be used to provide
docking and undocking service for
larger vessels calling on the Port
of Vancouver, as well as to pro-
vide escort service for tankers.
