The proposed new Development Cost Charges Bylaw is occasioned hy three factors:

1. A reeent change to the Municipal Act, which, permits municipalities to include the &
“development” parks in the Park DCC Bylaws. - :

2. The need to update the costs of land and construction for the existing Feil Avenue
Separation Development Cost Charge Bylaw. : :

3. The addition of a new. road development cost charge for the City’s share of the

Route connector.

The purposes of the Development Cost Charge Bylaw is to levy a charge against new development
the City, for its share of the capital cost burden imposed on the City. by the Development.’An inf
