celebrations. Emece Scott Fee will lead
the formal proceedings which will
include greetings from Members of
Parliament, local MLAs, and Mayor
and Council for the District of West
Vancouver.

An awards ceremony will showcase
outstanding contributions from youth in
the community. The on-stage entertain-
ment for the event will represent the tal-
ent that we have in the West Van com-

munity, Chris Georges and the Sentinel
Rhythm and Blues Jazz Band will per-
form as well as the West Vancouver
Senior Centre Line-Dancing group.

Off stage, a variety of activities are
planned for the whole family. For the
young there will be face painting and a
three-legged race. Ongoing throughout
the afternoon will be a variety of fami-
ly games and races, including an apple-
bobbing contest.
