I’ve a complaint to air and if I
hadn't been there and seen ‘1
myself, I'd be a bit skeptical.

My friend Marlene and I went
shopping at London Drugs and I
was surprised when she insisted
that the clerk on the scanner get
someone to check a price — the
amount involved was so small —
8&¢ — that I would have probably
shrugged it off. Marlene explained:

“They do it every time! Their
scanner prices don’t match the
shelf price a lot of the time but
especially watch the ‘specials.’
Lapses upon lapses.’’

She’s begun to keep score and
almost every bil] has some inac-
curacy. It’s made her so mad that
even if it's 8¢, she plants her feet
and insists.

If she misses something at the
checkout, be sure she doesn’t miss
it when she gets home — every biil
is thoroughly checked. Then, she

spends time and gas money to
march the thing back to the store.
