THE NORTH Shore Intermediate
Soccer League is halfway through
its season, and as a result of the
good weather conditions this fali,
postponements have been few.

The first division is close as only
three points separate the top four
teams.

Defending champion North Van
#1 is in first place, primarily due to
a strong defence anchored by
Steven Pringle, followed closely by
perennial challengers Northmount
Spurs for whom halfback Trent
Tucker and forward Chris Heiyar
have been standouts.

Court House is tied for second,
owing mainly to excellent
goalkeeping from Dave Gustavson
and a strong defence led by Peter
Coles.

Newly promoted Mt. Seymour
Wanderers are only three points
behind the leaders with captain
Chris Lemon playing well in mid-
field.

Uniglobe is unbeaten at the top
of the second division with

halfback Pau! Keller and new-
comer forward Shafiq Kanji
leading the way. Team Skyline,
Yic’s, and North Shore @usals are
all close behind.

Modern Systems is the Icague’s
top-scoring team, having scored 24
goals in only seven games with Ian
Davidson leading the forward line.
