Blues corral Cariboo

THE CAPILANO College Blues
basketball teams posted three wins
out of four games in a tournament
held in Kamloops Jan. 24 and 25.

The men’s Blues stopped their
Cariboo College competition in
both matches played.

On Friday they downed the
Kamloops squad 72-55. Forward

Eric Termansen led the local team
with 17 points. Teammate Mark
Bajus popped in 14.

In the rematch Saturday after-
noon, the men's Blues ran up a
37-32 halftime lead and dribbled to
an 86-68 win.

Termansen was again the team’s
top scorer with 23 points. Blues’
forward Shaun Hartley added 21.

The Blues. women, meanwhile,
were edged 71-68 by Cariboo Col-
lege Friday night, but came back
to register a 56-50 victory over the
same team on Saturday.

Michelle Mackenzie led the team
in scoring both nights with 14
points in Friday’s loss and 12
points in Saturday's victory.
