for Arts Festival

volunteers who have donated
both labor and materials, the
curator of the Penticton Art
Gallery, John Taylor, who is
also chairman of the
Festival’s display committee,
has been working steadily
since March 14 to transform
the warehouse into an ‘‘adap-
table space in which to create
a bohemian atmosphere.”’

Accordingly, concrete
walls are being given several
coats of ivory paint. Flores-
cent lights are being changed
to incandescent andthe
‘‘black guck’’ which covered
the cement floor is slowly
yielding to incessant
cleaning.

cle board have been built

area from 8000 sq.ft. to 6500
sq.ft. The boards have receiv-
ed a white rub giving them a
