The presentation was held at 403 Canadian Forces Technical Services Detachment (403 CFTSD) in Vancouver. Miss McLean joined the Department of National ‘Defence as a clerk in 1957 -and has displayed a con- sistently high level of per- formance, loyalty and devotion to duty throughout her twenty-two year career. Now with 403 CFISD in Vancouver, she is responsible for coordinating and preparing the input to and output from the Quality Assurance Management Information System (QAMIS), a computer based data gathering system at National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario. Banks support | small business Nine out of every 1!0 business loans by the chartered banks are for smali busimesses, according to the Canadian Bankers’ Association (CBA). In its report for the association’s annual mecting in Ottawa, the CBA said that business lending includes large national and in- ternational corporations but that particular emphasis ts given to the needs of small and independent businesses.
