EVACUATION PROCEDURES - gency plan — update for NV District Emer A review of emergency measures procedures in the District of North Vancouver, with a special concern to updating evacuation procedures, was given tenative approval by District council on Monday night. The review was called for in a notice of motion presented by, Alderman Peter Powell and given approval in principle by council. Powell has called for the following items; ean update of evacuation procedures for areas lower than 100 feet above sea level; ean update of equipment available to public protection agencies, its quantity, type availability and stationing; estudies of a hazard warning system, in cooperation with the ministry of defence; ea review of hospital procedures for dealing with casualties arising from emergencies. North Vancouver City and West Vancouver will be invited to participate in the review.
