Trucking dispute settled An tentative agreement has been reached in Washington between the teamsters union and trucking companies in the USS. The ten day dispute had caused the lay off of thousands of workers and drastic cutbacks in production at American and Canadian auto plants which relied on the teamsters for . their supply of parts. The agreement reached Tuesday night, provides “increases of up to 30 per cent over three years in wages, cost of living, and fringe benefits. Teamster Union President Frank Fitzsimmons urged the 300,000 teamsters to ratify the agreement.
